The energy transition and the need for alternative energy sources, which became evident in 2019, led Kalfrisa <\/strong>to focus on decarbonization as our main research line. Since then, we have set significant challenges within the framework of sustainable development<\/a> and industrial decarbonization<\/a>, developing real solutions with minimal energy consumption that are capable of operating with clean and renewable energy. <\/p>

This development line is based on:<\/p>

  1. Energy optimization through redesign and operation to reduce process energy consumption.<\/li>
  2. Support in digital technologies for data control and processing to contribute to this optimization.<\/li>
  3. Replacement of the traditional fossil energy currently in use with clean, renewable energies \u2014 specifically electricity, hydrogen, and biogas.<\/li><\/ol>

    Our latest milestone in this area is the inauguration, in early May, of the Clean Technology Design and Validation Center, which allows testing of all types of clean technologies, highlighting hydrogen combustion at different power levels and mixture percentages up to 100% H\u2082, as well as the electrification of thermal processes.<\/p>

    The inauguration of the Clean Technologies Design and Validation Center was held at our Zaragoza facilities, with wide participation from local industry representatives, media, and political authorities. This event provided a direct showcase of the center\u2019s capabilities and the practical application of our clean technologies, reinforcing Kalfrisa\u2019s commitment to industrial innovation and sustainability. <\/p>

    During the event, attendees had the opportunity to witness firsthand the various tests and trials conducted at the center, ranging from hydrogen combustion at different proportions to the electrification of thermal processes. This practical demonstration highlighted how these solutions contribute to energy efficiency, emission reduction, and progress toward a decarbonized industry.
