Inauguration of the Clean Technology Design and Validation Center
On May 8th, we will inaugurate our new Clean Technologies Design and Validation Center (CDVTL), an innovation hub that reaffirms our commitment to industrial decarbonization.
At the inauguration event, we will take the opportunity to showcase, as a success story, the world’s first hydrogen-powered cremation furnace.
With almost 60 years of experience in the energy and environment sector, at Kalfrisa we set ourselves new challenges within the framework of sustainable development. To achieve this, we are developing real solutions, with minimal energy consumption and capable of operating at 100% or hybridized with clean and renewable energy. So much so, that in our effort to replace fossil fuels with hydrogen, we have managed to achieve 100% hydrogen combustion on an industrial scale.
Our latest milestone in this area is the launch of a CDVTL at our facilities, which allows pilot-scale testing of all types of clean technologies, highlighting hydrogen combustion at different power levels and mixture ratios up to 100% H₂, as well as the electrification of thermal processes.
The CDVTL not only focuses on research and development of sustainable technologies but also fosters collaboration with companies, universities, and public organizations to accelerate the energy transition. During the inauguration, attendees will have the opportunity to see first-hand the hydrogen combustion validation processes, as well as the electrification of thermal processes, demonstrating how Kalfrisa transforms innovation into viable industrial solutions. This center strengthens our position as a leader in energy efficiency and decarbonization, contributing to a cleaner and more competitive industry, and positioning Kalfrisa as a strategic partner for sustainable projects worldwide.
