KALFRISA will cover part of its electricity consumption with its own renewable energy

70% of Kalfrisa’s electricity consumption is covered by its own renewable energy.

We are embracing the shift to green energy. At Kalfrisa, we have installed photovoltaic panels at our two production centers in Polígono Malpica, covering 450 m² with an installed capacity of 75 kW, enabling the generation of 132,000 kW of solar energy. In addition to this direct use of electricity, we eliminate losses from long-distance transmission and individual autotransformer equipment, significantly increasing the environmental benefits.

Consumption and production occur during daytime periods, and this energy is used both for production phases in the factory and for climate control, which already includes aerothermal systems and a low-temperature distribution system.

There is no doubt that renewable energy is here to stay. Among clean energies, solar stands out. Over the past decade, photovoltaic panels have become part of urban infrastructure. Similarly, private homes and the business sector are increasingly adopting this energy source.
