Kalfrisa, in its continuous commitment to environmental protection and energy efficiency has successfully developed hand in hand with engineering FINITEC a new project that includes the design, manufacture, installation and commissioning of a recuperative thermal oxidation system with a rotary concentrator in the automotive sector for the company FIBERPACHS located in Barcelona, Spain. This new successful project with Finitec demonstrates Kalfrisa’s capacity for innovation.
The new thermal oxidation plant treats a maximum flow rate of 130,000 Nm3/h of contaminated gases. The efficiency of the plant is increased by using a Zeolite rotoconcentrator prior to the oxidation system, which increases the concentration of VOCs while reducing the flow rate to be treated, thus optimising the design of the plant;
The installation is sized to be able to operate assuming higher flows in case of possible future extensions.
One of the most interesting and challenging aspects of this project lies in its implementation. A design has been made in 3 heights reducing the occupied surface to the maximum, in such a way that the system is as compact as possible.
